Putting on rose-tinted glasses is an idea to put a resilient spin on things. It is about looking at difficult things that have happened and adding a positive twist to them. This idea is about deliberately making sense of something in a positive way. There are always different ways to see the same thing. Scientists have shown that listing 5 things you are grateful for improves well-being.

After only 3 weeks

  • Feeling more satisfied

  • Feeling optimistic,

  • Increased pro-social behaviours,

  • Higher levels of physical activity.

Try thinking of 5 things to be thankful for right now.

  • Who are you grateful for?

  • What are you grateful for?

  • What did you do this week that you enjoyed? 

  • What do you feel lucky to have that some others do not?

    • Food &Water

    • Family & Friends

    • Health. (the ability to breathe through your nose becomes very important when you have a cold!)
       

  • Tap into your senses:

    • What do you love to eat, to watch, to listen to?

  • What makes you feel good? 

  • When did you smile or laugh today? 
     

  • Race to list 20 different things that you enjoy. 

Develop an attitude of gratitude

Thnx4 is an online, shareable gratitude journal that helps you say "Thnx" for the good stuff in your life.

 

How it works:

  • Register for a 10-Day Intensive, or 21-Day Gratitude Challenge 

  • You can do it either individually or as part of a group.

  • Receive a friendly, informative ping from Thnx4 daily for 2 weeks, or every other day for 3 weeks.
